PERFECT FOR creating a scented carpet in the garden, this variety is also used in the kitchen, though less commonly than its upright counterparts

A dwarf, aromatic, evergreen variety primarily used as ground cover, it will form a carpet of mid-green foliage, and produce an abundance of small flowers in the summer. Great choice for edging paths as it will release its scent when brushed passed, and also looks good in a pot on a sunny patio, or allowed to spill down a rockery. Attractive to bees, butterflies and other pollinators, this variety can be used as a culinary herb but is better suited to the garden.

Planting
Plant in beds or containers, in well-drained soil or compost, in full sun.

Care
Keep well watered until established, and then only when the soil feels dry.

5 – 10cm × 15 – 30cm.

Harvesting
Harvest leaves by gently pinching them off with fingertips, ideally in the morning when the oils are most fragrant. While regular harvesting isn't necessary for this ground cover plant, it can help maintain a neat appearance and promote
