Description
A large, knobbly root vegetable. It is from the celery family and tastes quite similar, but has a slightly nutty, milder, sweeter taste. This odd-looking root vegetable is easy to grow with round smooth roots with great white flesh and a good resistance to bolting.

Growing Instructions
Once all frosts have passed and the ground has warmed up, plant 30cm apart in and between rows; plant with the crown at soil level. Covering plants with fleece will enhance their growth and also reduces the chances of the plants bolting.
Tip
As the plants mature, remove the outer leaves as they fall horizontal, to expose the crown and allow it to develop. Remove side shoots if they appear.
