Terms and Conditions

Terms and conditions

By ordering from the Gardeners Kitchen Direct website, you agree with our terms and conditions.
We reserve the right to make changes to the site and terms and conditions at any time of the year without prior notice. Please check these terms and conditions every time you order.
Unfortunately we can only offer deliveries to the UK mainland at this time.

Ordering, Availability and Description.
Orders placed on a weekend or bank holiday will be processed on the next working day to ensure the items arrive as fresh as possible.
On the rare occasion we may have a crop failure or items may be temporarily out of stock, therefore we cannot supply these items. We will notify you as soon as possible, whether you want to change the item or hold off sending the order until said item becomes available. If you ask us to send the said item separately there will be an extra delivery cost to you the buyer.
Although we try and give accurate descriptions, growing information, pictures on our website we do not accept liability for any inaccuracies or errors. Pictures of our products, plant colours and sizes will vary slightly according to the description of each product on the website compared to what is delivered.

Pre Orders.
Pre-orders will be taken until the middle of March. We then start to send products out, that are available towards the end of March.
All orders will be sent out once all the varieties you have chosen are ready. On each product they have an ‘available from’ date to give you a guide when they should be ready. (Weather depending!)
If you would like separate deliveries dates, then you must order them separately to pay for the extra carriage.
You may specify when you would like your plants delivered, this can be done at the end of the check out in the ‘customer notes’ box. If, however an item/s is not available for your chosen delivery date then the order will be held until such time when they are all ready.
From the middle of March, the shop will only have available items that are ready for sale at that time of year. Items that have been paid for before that will be sent out on the estimated time given when the product was bought.

Shipping
Any extra delivery information must be stated when you place your order i.e. a designated safe drop off point. We accept no responsibility for loss or damage to plants that have been left in your designated safe place or if you have entered a wrong address for delivery.
Once the order is placed it will be shipped first class by Royal Mail to the address provided, within two weeks of you placing the order. You will be notified by email when your plants have been shipped. . If you are not in when Royal Mail try and deliver your parcel, they will leave a card advising for re-delivery or where you can collect it from.
Each separate order/split order will have a delivery charge.

Substitutes
We do our best to grow all our varieties stated on our site but sometimes things can go wrong. Varieties may no longer be available to us, either from being discontinued, getting them through customs or a growing issue. When this happens, we will send out substitutes. We will choose the closest variety that matches that product you have chosen. However, if we feel there is no substitute to match, we will not send them, and a refund will be given.

Plants on arrival
All of our products are living plants and therefore must be unpacked immediately, check they are correct and given the correct care in the leaflet provided upon delivery. Please remember the plants have had very little light while in transit so they may look a little off colour. This is normal!
If you are unsatisfied with the quality of the plants upon arrival or there are shortages, we must be notified with photo evidence within 2 working days.
We offer suggestions on how to grow all our products via our website and a leaflet is given within the packs sent out. It’s the buyer’s responsibility to give the plants the correct growing conditions/care/position /water/feed etc for them to survive. Under no circumstance is it Gardeners Kitchen fault if plants were to die.
All packaging is recyclable.

Cancelation policy
If you decided that you need to cancel your order you must notify us in writing as soon as possible and a full refund will be given. If the order has already been dispatched, then no refund will be given.

Returns Policy
Gardener Kitchen checks the plants and packaging before they are sent.
If you are not happy with the condition of your plants upon arrival you must report it by email immediately. We will ask for photographic evidence of each item that has been damaged, so there is no doubt from either side to how they have arrived, once the photos have been assessed by our ‘Dr Veget’ you will either be given a full refund or voucher to spend in our online shop, excluding the delivery costs.
If you change your mind once the plants have been delivered, no refund will be given.
