F1 Bright Star
Bright Star Pepper
A vibrant, heavy-cropping pepper perfect for snacking or adding crunch to salads. Sweet, crisp bell peppers mature from green to a glowing bright orange, bringing colour and flavour to your garden and plate.
Harvest
June to October — pick when peppers are swollen, glossy, and full of flavour.
Growing Instructions
• Planting: 45cm apart in well-drained soil, in a sunny, sheltered spot.
• Position: Greenhouse is ideal, but can also grow in pots on a sunny patio or in a conservatory.
• Watering: Keep well watered until established and during dry periods, avoiding waterlogging.
• Support: Once plants reach roughly 30cm, stake them as peppers start to grow.
• Feeding: Only feed once 2–3 peppers have formed. If just one pepper appears, pick it to encourage more fruit.
Top Tips
• Warm Feet: Peppers grow best in pots or grow bags, as they warm up faster than soil.
• Shade in Heat: Protect delicate leaves during rare intense heat by providing a little shade.
• Promote Fruit: Pick lone peppers early to encourage further crop development.
