Terrain
Terrain Peas
Terrain is one of the most disease-resistant pea varieties around, boasting excellent mildew resistance and a long cropping season. Expect heavy yields of double pods packed with super-sweet peas — perfect for snacking straight from the pod or tossing into a summer salad. Keep them coming and you’ll be harvesting right through to November!
Harvest
From June to November, once the pods have filled out and are plump with peas.
Growing Instructions
• Planting: Space seeds or plugs 10cm apart in well-drained soil, in a sunny but sheltered spot.
• Support: As plants grow, provide support with pea sticks, twigs, or trellis.
• Alternative Method: Or for an easier (and more fun) approach — just plant them 10cm apart and let them sprawl naturally. You’ll need to hunt for the pods, but kids love the challenge!
• Watering: Keep well-watered, especially during dry spells, to encourage full, juicy pods.
Top Tips
• Continuous Supply: Plant a fresh batch every 4 weeks for non-stop picking.
• Sweetest Flavour: Pick pods young and tender — the younger they are, the sweeter they taste.
• Family Fun: Turn harvesting into a game of “pea hide-and-seek” for little helpers!
