Description
A loose leaf variety with tender oak shaped leaves and crunchy stems. Known for its stunning red crinkly leaves, like the green variety they can be picked for a baby leaf salad or grown on for full size heads.
Harvest
May to November (You can just pick the outer leaves and treat it as cut and grow again)
Growing Instructions
Plant 30cm apart in well drained soil in a sunny but sheltered position. Keep well watered until established and in dry weather.
Tip
Plant every 3 weeks for a continuous supply. Water plants is in the morning. If cut lettuce starts to wilt, pop it into a bowl of iced water and it will come back to life.
