Lunch Box
Lunch Box Peppers
Tiny, tasty, and fun to grow! Lunch Box Peppers are perfect for snacking straight from the plant. Sweet, crunchy, and nearly seedless, these colorful peppers ripen in shades of red, yellow, and orange, making them a vibrant treat for kids and adults alike. Perfect for a sunny windowsill, patio, or greenhouse.
Harvest
June to October — pick when swollen, glossy, and bursting with color.
Growing Instructions
• Planting: 45cm apart in well-drained soil or one plant per pot.
• Position: Sunny but sheltered. Greenhouse is best, but they’ll grow on a conservatory sill or sunny patio (yields will be smaller outdoors).
• Watering: Keep well watered until established and during dry spells, but avoid soggy soil.
• Support: Stake plants at around 30cm tall as the peppers start to grow.
• Feeding: Only feed once 2–3 peppers are forming — not before.
Top Tips
• Pick to Encourage: If only one pepper is forming, pick it to stimulate more growth.
• Moisture Matters: Keep soil evenly moist to avoid stress.
• Sun Safety: Provide light shade during intense heat to protect delicate leaves.
• Snack Ready: Perfect for children to pick and eat straight from the plant!
