A versatile herb that can be used as both seasoning during cooking and as a garnish. Producing nutritious tangy leaves through summer and autumn it make an attractive edging to veg beds, but equally grows well in containers. Flat leaf Parsley has a stronger taste to Curly and adds flavour to Middle Eastern salads, soups, stews, meatballs and fishcakes - the list is endless.
Planting
Plant in beds or containers, in rich, well-drained soil or compost, in sun or partial shade.
Care
Keep well watered until established, and protect from slugs and snails.
Height & Spread:
45 – 60cm × 20 – 30cm.
Harvesting
Harvest leaves using scissors or fingertips, preferably in the morning when the flavours are most intense. Regular harvesting encourages more growth, but avoid removing more than a third of the plant at one time.
