Description
Short and stubby almost round bite sized carrots with smooth bright orange skin. Perfect for growing in shallow soils or containers. A novel alternative to conventional carrots with excellent flavour.
Harvest
July to October. Lift all remaining roots by October, remove soil from the roots and store in dry sand but do not allow the carrots to touch each other as it can cause rotting.
Growing Instructions
Do not separate but plant as a bunch as they spread out naturally. Position 15-20 cm apart and plant every 3 weeks for continuity.
Tip
Water in the morning and keep watered in dry periods. Try not to weed especially during the day as it may attract carrot-fly. Plant leeks and carrots together as they protect each other from carrot fly and leek moth.
