One of the most widely used vegetables in cooking and is used in countless dishes! This vigorous growing onion is easy to grow, has brown skin, delicious white tightly packed flesh with light brown rims.
Harvest
July to October. Once the foliage turns yellow. Lift the whole bunch up, you do not need to separate until needed. Leave to dry for two days and store.
Growing Instructions
Plant as bunch 25cm apart. Do not separate the plants as this will spoil the roots, they will push themselves out naturally. Plant in a sunny but sheltered position and in well drained soil. Keep well watered until established and in dry weather.

Once lifted hang to dry in your shed or garage. Or 50 years ago it would have been in a hovel?
