Hestia Dwarf Runner Bean
A compact beauty with big personality! Hestia is a stunning dwarf runner bean that brings both colour and flavour to your patio or garden. With masses of red-and-white bicoloured flowers followed by long, tender, stringless pods, this little plant is as ornamental as it is productive. Perfect for pots and small spaces — and guaranteed to turn heads!
Harvest
Around 6–8 weeks after planting, once pods reach about 20cm long and before the beans inside begin to swell.
Growing Instructions
• Planting: Space plants evenly in a 30cm pot or container filled with well-drained compost, in a sunny but sheltered spot.
• Watering: Keep well-watered, especially in dry weather, and don’t let the soil dry out.
• Feeding: Start feeding every 14 days once the first pods begin to form — not before!
• Support: Although compact, plants may need a small cane or support if they become top-heavy.
