Fennel 

A stunning perennial herb with aromatic, bronzed, fern-like foliage and flat-topped yellow flowerheads in mid to late summer. With its distinctive aniseed flavour, Fennel is perfect for seasoning fish, adding a punch to salads and soups, or drying the seeds for Middle Eastern and Indian dishes, pickles, breads, and cakes. Its graceful foliage also adds a decorative touch to any garden.


Planting
Where: Well-drained soil in a bright, sunny position. Can also be grown in a large container.


Care
Watering: Keep well watered until established and during dry spells.
Self-Seeding: Fennel self-seeds easily, providing new plants year after year.
Dormancy: Dies back over winter and regrows in spring.
