Jalapeno
A classic favourite! Jalapeno produces 3–4 cm long, 2 cm thick pods that ripen from green to red, with a medium-strong heat. Perfect for adding a spicy kick to salsas, sauces, or your favourite dishes.

Hot Thai
Compact, colourful, and easy to grow! Hot Thai produces a mass of small 2 cm chillies that ripen from green to bright red with a medium heat. Ideal for windowsills or patios, and perfect for drying or turning into your own chilli powder.

Fresno
A slightly larger alternative to Jalapeno, Fresno produces 5 cm long, 2 cm wide pods. Dark green at first, turning red as they mature, with a mild, approachable heat. Perfect for pickling or adding a gentle spice to your cooking.

Growing Instructions

• Spacing & Position: Plant 45 cm apart in well-drained soil, in a sunny, sheltered spot. Best in a greenhouse, but also suitable for pots in a conservatory or sunny patio (outdoor crops may be smaller).

• Watering: Keep well-watered until established and during dry spells. Avoid waterlogging. In rare hot summers, provide some shade to protect delicate leaves.

• Support: Once plants reach around 30 cm, stake if necessary to support the growing chillies.

• Feeding: Only feed when 2–3 chillies are forming—not before!

• Harvesting: Pick chillies as they ripen to enjoy their full flavour and heat.
