Description
Short and stumpy original shaped carrots that are easy to grow. There is no need to peel them, they are quick and easy to cook, and have a great flavour that's not lost during cooking.
Harvest
July to October. Lift all remaining roots by October, remove soil from the roots and store in dry sand but do not allow the carrots to touch each other as it can cause rotting.
Growing Instructions
Do not separate but plant as a bunch as they spread out naturally. Position 15-20 cm apart water well until established, plant every 3 weeks for continuity.
Tip
Water in the morning and keep watered in dry periods. Try not to weed especially during the day as it may attract carrot-fly. Plant leeks and carrots together as they protect each other from carrot fly and leek moth.
