Size: 3 x 10cm pot plants

Easy to grow with white/yellow flesh and ready for your Christmas dinner.
Description
We use either Carlingford or Charlotte depending on the season that perticular year. Which are both great and really easy to grow varieties. Charlotte has a slight yellowy flesh with oval tubers and Carlingford are whiter and even sized.

Harvest

They will be ready when the foliage starts to turn yellow and die back. (Roughly 13 weeks)

Growing Instructions

Half fill a container, pot or tyre etc with compost, position the potato in the centre. As it grows carefully keep adding compost but do not cover the growing tip, leave roughly 15cm of foliage. If you have a few spare tyres you could put one on top when the potato has out grown the first one and then start to back fill with soil, remembering not to cover the growing tips, and repeat until you have 4 tyres full. Keep well watered until established and in dry weather. You must protect them when there's a frost otherwise the potatos will spoil. To grow in the ground, plant 30cm apart in rows. As the plant grows you can start to mound up the soil around the stem remembering to leave the growing tips out. This is called earthing up, and you can keep on doing this until the plant stops growing.

Tip

Leave potaoes in container until you require them, you can even pick them on christmas day if they are well frost protected.
