An over winter variety with heavy uniform flattened round bulbs with light brown skin and white flesh. Great for storing.
Each plug has around 4-8 plants in.

Description
An over winter variety with heavy, uniform, flattened round bulbs with light brown skin and white flesh, that are great for storing. These have been specialy bred for late summer and early autumn planting to gain a cheeky early crop the following summer.

Harvest

May-June the following year, once the foliage turns yellow. Pull the whole bunch up, you do not need to separate until needed. Leave to dry for two days and then store.

Growing Instructions

Plant as bunch 25cm apart. Do not separate the plants as this will spoil the roots, they will push themselves out naturally. Plant in a sunny but sheltered position in well drained soil. Keep well watered until established and in dry weather.

Tip

Once lifted hang to dry in your shed or garage. Or 50 years ago it would have been in a hovel?
