Shirley
An early-maturing star! Shirley produces heavy yields of fleshy red tomatoes on large trusses. Full of flavour and far from the watery supermarket kind, these tomatoes also have good resistance to tobacco mosaic virus, making them a reliable choice for home gardeners.

Alicante
Slightly earlier-maturing than Moneymaker, Alicante produces medium, uniform, fleshy fruits with excellent flavour. Perfect for salads, cooking, or snacking straight from the plant.

Moneymaker
A true classic! Moneymaker remains popular year after year for its reliable yields of medium-sized, uniform red fruits with fantastic flavour. Easy to grow and always dependable.

Growing Instructions

• Spacing & Position: Plant 45 cm apart in well-drained soil, large pots, or growbags. Greenhouse is ideal, but can start in a conservatory or window until all frosts have passed. Gradually acclimatise outdoors over 4–6 days in the sunniest spot.

• Watering: Keep young plants well-watered until established, and during dry spells. Avoid waterlogging.

• Support & Training: Use a string per plant tied to a frame or growbag, stretching 6 ft high. Train each plant clockwise, pinching out side shoots as they grow. Once at the top, guide the plant back down, continuing to remove side shoots.

• Side Shoots: Small branches that grow from the main stem. Pinch them out to help the plant focus on fruit production.

• Feeding: Only feed once 3–4 tomatoes begin to swell—not before. Feeding too early can delay fruiting.

• Maintenance: Remove dead or rotting leaves as the plant grows. Around the second week of August, pinch out the growing tip to encourage top fruits to increase in size and set before the end of the season.

• Harvesting: Enjoy firm, flavourful tomatoes straight from the plant as they ripen.
