Harvest

Once plants are well established, simply pick the tips of the growing shoots as needed. Regular harvesting encourages new, bushy growth throughout the season, ensuring a continuous supply of fresh leaves.

Growing Instructions

Spacing: Plant as a bunch — do not separate the plants, as this can affect root development.

Position: Grow in well-drained soil or in a pot/container placed in a sunny or partially shaded spot.

Best Results: Excellent for windowsill growing, making it ideal for year-round kitchen use.

Watering: Keep well-watered until established, and maintain even moisture during dry weather. Avoid waterlogging, as parsley dislikes soggy soil.

Feeding: If the leaves begin to yellow, feed every 14 days with a balanced liquid fertilizer to encourage lush, green growth.

Top Tips

  • Regular Picking = More Growth: The more you harvest, the more your parsley will grow! Regular trimming encourages fresh, bushy new shoots.

  • Sunlight Matters: Parsley loves light — aim for at least 4–6 hours of sunlight each day for best flavor and leaf density.

  • Container Friendly: Thrives in pots or window boxes, making it perfect for small gardens or kitchen windowsills.

  • Don’t Let It Bolt: In hot weather, provide a little shade to prevent plants from flowering too early.

  • Consistent Moisture: Keep the soil evenly moist but never waterlogged — parsley dislikes soggy feet!

  • Let One Plant Flower: If growing as a biennial, allow one to flower in its second year to attract pollinators and self-seed naturally.
