This popular, early maturing, easy to grow variety of runner bean produces a mass of heavy long pods ranging from 30-50cm long. An excellent flavour and great for freezing and believe me you will be freezing them as they produce that many.
Harvest
Before the beans start to swell from June onwards.
Growing Instructions
Plant 25cm apart in well drained soil next to a trellis/net or cane and guide them in the direction you would like them to grow. Once they reach the top, let them run wild back down. Position in a sunny but sheltered site. Keep well watered until established and in dry weather. Must protect them from the frost and feed every other week once the first beans have formed. Not before. Plant Gardeners Kitchen 'Sweet Peas' alongside them to help pollination.
Tips
Harvest regularly for a continuous crop.
